![If a feverish condition exists, give a few doses of [Aeon., Bell., and Bry.,] and bathe the feet in hot water on going to bed. Follow this by [Mac, Caulo., and Puis.] Or, [Apis, Sepia and Puis.,] alternated every one, two or three hours with (Coccul., Plant. m.,and Chamomilla.) Su-1- phur at night; and if there is much prostration ; or swelling of the face, feet or ankles ; give [China, Pod., and Rhns tox.,] or Arsenicum each morning. If the pains are of a wandering rheumatic character, then give No. i, P. 272. When lasting too long, or too profuse, [Calc c, Cocculus, and Ipecac,] or [Hamamelis., Caulo., and Cocculus.] If in- jections are used, they should be hot, with the additional -use of hot washes of Hamamelis, Hydrastis , Arnica, or Car bolic or Salicylic acids largelydiluted with Water: all of the various leucorrhceal discharges, itchings, burnings, etc., may t>e treated the same way ; only (Carbo. an., Bell., and Nux.,) or Senecio may be given in addition to the above. STRONGER REMEDIES. For bleeding from the Womb ; after using an injection •of hot water in which has been put a teaspoonful of Tine, of Hamamelis and Arnica to the quart of Water : then use the treatment as given for Bleeding from the Lungs and Stom- .ach, on P. 246 : when the hemorrhage is checked, then give the same treatment as is given for other derangements of the womb. The most perfect treatment in deranged, monthlies, for general use, that it has been my lot to use is the following : viz : Dr. Dewee's celebrated Compound Tincture of Gua- iacum two ounces, Tine.
