![POISONING AND HOW TO TREAT IT. To save time in an emergency, the following table may- be consulted, which gives the name of each of the most common poisons and the proper treatment for it: Poison. Treatment. I. Unknown. ( Provoke repeated vomiting. -j Give bland liquids ; / Stimulate, if necessary. 2. Acids— 1 Sulphuric, | Nitric, Muriatic, Oxalic. 3 Alkalies— ] Hartshorn, j Soda, Potash, Lye 4. Arsenic— Paris green, Scheel's Green, f Give an Alkali ; i Provoke vomiting; -[ Give bland fluids; * I Secure rest ; ^ Stimulate, if necessary. f Give an acid (Vinegar); I Provoke vomiting; ■{ Give bland liquids ; I Secure rest; I Stimulate if necessary. f Provoke vomiting;* I Give dialyzed Iron and Salt;* -| Give a dose of Castor Oil; I Secure rest; (_ Stimulate if necessary. f Give Epsom Salts;* 5.
