The statistics relating to the Centre are as follows :— Statistics—March 23 to December 31, 1942. Increased work at the Tuberculosis Clinic is due to a variety of causes— (a) reference to the clinic by medical boards and by the Ministry of Labour and National Service. (b) discharges from the Services on account of tuber¬ culosis. (c) increased publicity following the opening of Newstead Sanatorium. (d) greater confidence shown by medical practitioners in the clinic work. (e) some actual increase in tuberculosis.
