    3. The difference in strneture of the naso-pharynx of the young infant indicates a somewhat different course of jiro- cedure in operations for the removal of adenoids. In infants of two or three years or younger, adenoid forceps are rarely applicable. It is believed that in children under five years, a Gottstein’s curette or some modification of it, is preferable. A sharp, fiat bladed and fairly wide instru- ment best meets the indication in the hand of the writer.
