$EEPOET FEOM THE CLINICAL LABOEATOEIES FOE THE YEAE 1907. . Altogether 1i,266 specimens and samples were received for examina¬ tion during the year from the Wards and Out-Patient Departments. The number,- however, represents only material for which formal request for examination was made ; it does not include many repeated examinations which were made at different times. The work of the department was materially increased during the year by the preparation s,of various bacterial vaccines required for the treatment of cases in the Wards, work of a kind which occupies much time and requires the greyest amount of care possible. The material received fop examination may be roughly classified as follows :— \ Blood counts (simple 73, differential 120) Blood for Widal’s Keaction %. ..... Blood for estimation of the Opsonic Index New Growths, etc., for Histological examination . Pus and Fluids for Bacteriological examination .
