    since the time of Iiis graduation, I am able to bear testimony to the excellence of his professional attainments. While attending the Class of Ophthalmology, I always found him a diligent, and painstaking student, and he always took advan¬ tage of the many other opportunities afforded him of perfecting his professional education. During the time he was pursuing his studies abroad, he increased rather than relaxed his efforts, and maintained his character as a hardworking student. From these circumstances I believe that he will show the same diligence and assiduity should he be appointed to any public office, and I am sure that the Directors of any public Institution will have reason to congratulate themsel ves if they secure such a conscientious and trustworthy Medical Officer.
