    purpose of this book is to make the foregoing way so plain that even the most inexperienced of intelligent persons may follow it without confusion or error. in the directions and advice contained in this hook, the reader will find that, in these diseases which in our medical judgment demand the care of a competent physician, we plainly say so—Dr. Humphrej’s’ Remedies, over a long period of years have proved, however, that most of the ills common to our humanity can be safely ■—surely and wisely treated at home. Thousands upon thousands of testimonial letters, letters of gratitude and praise, together, with the growing and wider use of these famous Medicines everywhere, pay eloquent tribute to their curative value. While there is a general, yet unwritten code of ethics among medical men not to prescribe pre¬ pared remedies that are publicly made known to the people, yet it is indeed a fact that a great number of skilled and broadminded doctors prescribe Dr. Humphreys’ Remedies. This System of Medicine could only he made possible and plain by the use of these REMEDIES. In no other way could the liability or danger of perplexity and error be avoided. There is no seeking among many medicines for the right one; the mode of preparation and adminis¬ tering is easy,—all that is necessary is to follow the simple directions. We send out this hook to serve humanity. It has proved a blessing to thousands, and by serving the reader it will have fulfilled its mission, which is to bring the Sunshine of Health and Happiness into afflicted lives and to give those who possess good health, a greater valuation of its blessing.
