![Charge of any Ship bringing Tobacco into any Port of this Kingdom, fhall have made a Report of his Ship, the Merchant-importer, or fome other Perfon appointed by him or her, fhall take out a Bill or Bills at fight, to be granted in fuch manner as is directed by an Act paffed in the fourteenth Year of the Reign of King Charles II. Lintituled Ain AG for preventing Frauds and regulating Abu- fes in his Majefly’s Cuftoms] by the Collector and Comptroller of fuch Port ; but without any Securi- ty to be given or Depofit made for fuch further Subfidy ; the faid Merchant or other Perfon firft fpecifying the Number of Hogfheads, or other Vef- fels or Package, containing fuch Icbacco, with the Marks and Numbers thereof, and by virtue of fuch Bill or Bills at fight, the Hogfheads, or other Vefiels or Package, containing fuch Tobacco, shall be landed, and fhall be weighed and numbred progreffively, in the prefence of the Land-waiters appointed to attend fuch Ship, and one or more Officer or Officers for the faid Inland Duty; and thereupon fuch Tobacco fhall be delivered into the care of an Officer for the faid Inland-Duty, together with a Ticket figned by the Land-waiters and Officer or Officers for the faid Inland Duty, in whofe Prefence fich Tobacco was io weighed, containing the Marks, Numbers and Contents of each Cask, or other Veffel or Package, by what Perfon entred, and out of what Ship; And fuch Officer for the faid Inland Duty, into whofe care fuch Tobacco fhall be delivered, fhall fee the fame lodged in fome Warchoufe or Warehoufes, to be approved by the faid Commiffieners or other Off- cers for the faid Inland Duty, in purfuance of this A&, under the Care of the Keeper or Keep- ers of fuch Warchoufe or Warchoules to be ap- pointed as aforefaid, to whom, or one of them, the faid Ticket fhall be delivered; and upon the ~ back](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b30534483_0022.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
