![THE PSYCHOLOGICAL INTEREST IN THE COMMON NEUROSES When, as an Asylum Medical Officer some thirty years ago, I first began to recognize that every person who is ill is ill psychically as well as physi¬ cally, I hoped and believed that the rectification of disordered psychical states was best brought about by the rectification of the disordered physical states; just as “ that Kriischen feeling ” is said, and sometimes is, to be brought about by a dose of salts.
