July, 194G September, 1947 July, 1944 March, 1951 July, 1952 October, ]951 July, 1952 Salvage Collection and Disposal The loss in inccme from Salvage has been due mainly to the decrease in pi ices offered for Waste Paper. With the collection of Kitchen Waste it would appear ^ that the general public are not maintaining their respon¬ sibility in placing this valuable commodity into the containers ' provided. This is revealed by the fact that during 1952 the ^ total weight collected was 21 tons 13f cwts. less than in the preceding year. The following table shows the materials salvaged and disposed of during the years 1951 and 1952:— 1951 1952 Tons Cwts. Tons Cwts.
