![H'-using Act, 1957 - Slum Clearance Programme A meeting of the .Slum Clearance Committee was held during the year when . it was reported that out of the Council1 s original slum clearance proposals approved for the ten year period ending December, 1965, comprising ~]G~J dwellirl only 156 remain to be dealt with as under Clearance Orders 5 Demolition Orders 7 Undertakings not to reiet 94 Undertakings to repair 7 Category 5 30 Represented 13 156 This figure included a number of properties which had been added to the list from time to time since the date of the original survey. The Council decided to embark on a further two year programme. During the year 18 houses were demolished. ' I give below a tabular statement setting out the details of the action taken during the year:- 1. Inspection of Dwelling houses during the year (1) (a) Total number of dwelling houses inspected for housing defects (under Public Health or Housing Acts) ... i (b) Number of inspections made for the purpose ... 1 j (2) (a) Number of dwelling houses (included under sub-head (l) above) which were inspected and recorded under the Housing Regulations ... 13 (b) Number of inspections made for the purpose ... 13 (3) Number of dwelling houses found to be in a state so dangerous or injurious to health as to be unfit for human habitation ... (4) Number of dwelling houses (exclusive of those referred to under the preceding sub-head) found not to be in all respects reasonably fit for human habitation 2. 3.
