    . DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACTS AND ORDERS. The Chief Sanitary Inspector is the Council’s Inspector under these Acts and senior officers of the Police act as officers of Local Authority for the purpose of granting licences and other administra- tive duties. A summary of action taken by all officers is as follows: Anthrax Order, 1938. In 1939 there were 18 suspected cases, 6 of them were'confirmed. I he carcases of these were buried in accordance with the Anthrax Order and the infected premises disinfected at the expense^ ol the local authority. Tuberculosis Order, 1938. 40 Form “A” Notices were served. Of these 5 were with- drawn, the other 33 animals were slaughtered. Swine Fever Order, 1938. The restrictions on the outstanding case at the end of 1939 were lifted. There were 11 suspected cases, 2 of which were confirmed, and resulted in 2 Form “B” Notices being served placing restrictions on ajacent premises. All form “B” Notices have been withdrawn and 9 withdrawals, of Form “A” Notices have been received. Regulation of Movement of Swine Order, 1922. 2 Form “C” licences affecting the rnovement of 40 Pigs for slaughter and 1 Form “A” licence affecting the movement of 9 pigs were issued. ' ' Sheep Scab. 1 Form “A” notice issued which was withdrawn. Foot and Mouth Disease Order, 1928. 287 Licences issued by Police affecting 1,389. cattle, 1,828 sheep and 282 pigs. 3 Form “ D ’ ’ .notices served prohibiting move- ment of animals. Movement of Animals Landing from Ireland and the Channel Islands Regulations, 1923. No Licences were issued. Transit of Animals (Amendment) Order, 1930. 13 vehicles w^ere disinfected and cleansed.
