    FORM OF LEGACY AND DEVISE. To those Benevolent persons who may he charitably disposed to become Benefactors by Will, the following forms are recommended as perfectly simple, yet answering every purpose. ^ov a JBequest of /ibone^. I bequeath to the Royal Hospital, Richmond {Surrey)^ the sum of £ {free of Duty) for the general Purposes of that Institution ; and I declare that the receipt of one of the Treasurers for the time being of such Institution shall be a sufficient discharge for the same. 3For a Devlee of XauD or IbouBes. I devise and bequeath all that unto the Trustees for the time being, of the Royal Hospital, Richmond (Surrey), upon trust, to sell the same within one year from the date of my decease, and to apply the proceeds for the general purposes of that Institution. Dated day of 19 Signed by the Testator (or Testatrix) ^ as and for his (or her) last will and Testament, in the presence of us both present at the same time, who in his (or her) presence at his (or her) request f and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. j N.B.—Land and Houses, &>c., can now be given by will for charitable purposes {as well as money, stock, and other personal property), hut any Land or Houses, &>c., so given must be sold {notwithstanding anything in the Will contained to the contrary] within one year from the death of the testator {or testatrix) and the proceeds applied for the purpose of the charity.
