    be admitted to exhibit in its construction the ap- plication of a new mechanical power to the purpo- ses of surgery, is at least novel in the arrangement and adaptation of its several parts, without expres- sing my warm acknowledgements to those eminent members of the profession who have taken the trouble to inspect it during my recent visit to Lon- don, and have favoured me with the following testimonials of their approbation of the scientific principles on which it is constructed, and the com- pleteness with which it is calculated to accomplish its intentions:— Conduit Street, June 26, ]833.
