Skip-Stop Rule Held — Up to “Educate” Patrons Montclair, April 11.—Although the “skip-stop” rule adopted to facilitate the running of cars on the Bloomfield avenue line, between Caldwell and Newark, is in effect to-day, it was not strictly adhered to by the motormen, who reasoned that many persons were unfamiliar with the new system of operation. When the motormen saw passengers waiting for cars at the “no stop” crossings they disregarded+the rule, so. that’ the conductors could slip the passengers a card indicating the stopping places and inform them that within two days there would be no deviation from the plan for skipping.
