Nil recorded. d) Open-air Classrooms. Nil. iO. Physical Training. The following information has been supplied by the Director of Education : The Committee’s arrangements for the inspection and supervision of the Physical Training undertaken in the Elementary Schools have, during 1933, been carried out on similar lines to those previously reported. Miss F. A. Morgan, Physical Training Instructress of the Saffron Walden Training College ; Miss Craig, Physical Training Instructress at the Braintree County High School and Miss Collman serving in a like capacity at the Clacton and Harwich County High Schools, are still employed as part-time advisers and instructresses in regard to Physical Training. Their activities inchide the instruction of teachers in the latest approved methods of handling their special subject in accordance with the syllabus of the Board of Education, and the visitation of schools to follow up the instruction given. During school visits, not only is advice and help given to the teachers, but much work is also done in actual teaching of groups of children as demonstration lessons for the teachers con- cerned. Classes for teachers responsible for taking Physical Training in the schools in different districts have been held during the year as follows :— Centre. County High School for Girls, Romford No. Enrolled.
