![Some of the Corridors are enlivened with Prints upon the Walls. We trust that no unnecessary delay will take place in similarly decorating the Day-Rooms, and introducing objects of interest throughout the Asylum. We further submit the following Suggestions:— 1. The better Ventilation of the Padded-Rooms, which are very close. 2. The substitution of Curtains, if thought necessary, for the boards now closing the glazed openings between the Attendants’ Rooms and adjoining Dormitories. 3. The Planting in the Airing Courts of Trees, which may, hereafter, serve for shade. 4. Proper arrangements for utilizing the Sewage, and making it available for fertilizing the land. We are well satisfied with the general management and condition of the Asylum. (Signed) R. W. S. LUTWIDGE, ] COMMISSIONERS [ IN S. GASKELL, J Lunacy. The Average Weekly Cost per Patient, during the year, has been 9s. lid. I have the honor to remain, Gentlemen, To the Committee of Visitors, Your obedient humble Servant, County Lunatic Asylum, RICHARD WTLSON, Cottingwood, Morpeth.
