Gradwell (& others)

Collection of medical, cookery and domestic receipts, by various hands: in English. The name 'Gradwell' appears on leaf 36, and 'Unkell Gradwells buns' on the next leaf. Many of the receipts are by very illiterate hands. On leaf 4v is the date 1755, and on the 16th leaf from the other end, the date 1779. There is a quotation from 'Othello' on leaf 36. The name 'James Greenhow' is found on the first fly-leaf, and on the second leaf from the end.

1 volume 89 ll. 4to. 201/2 × 18 cm. Original panelled calf binding, very worn. The last fly-leaf is defective.
