In the introduction he mentions that in some instances the Hdkims and Amirs are distinguished by the names of their tribes, and in others by those of the cities or fortresses which they possessed. He gives as examples of the former, the Hdldms of Hakdri, Sahr^n, Bdbdn, and Ardalan, and of the latter the H&kims of Hisnkifi and Budlis.
