Biographical note

The series continues the tradition of war prints issued at the time of the Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895) and the Russo-Japanese War (1905), but those were woodblock prints. Here, the traditional technique has been abandoned, and western-style lithography used. Perhaps intended for export to China
