About this work
Description
It is estimated that in 2050 there will be more people in their 80's than there will be under 5's. In the last of a four-part series, Connie St. Louis continues to examine the preoccupations and life styles ofthis new 'fourth age' group, with particular focus on the subject of death. We hear from elderly people facing death and medical professionals concerned with the care of the dying. There is discussion about what can be done to help people have a 'good' death. We also visit a hospice, discuss the preparation of a will, euthanasia and support for those left behind.
