    339 <A pair of bronze Dragon Guardians standing on their own feet, 164in. high, 15 in. long (2) 340 A SKuU-1T’AN or hanging Picture, representing sgROL-MA DKAR- PO, the seven-eyed white Tara, in the form of the thousand- headed and thousand-handed Avalokita, ‘The All Pitying Lord,” the heads in rows in the shape of a Lama’s cow] as worn by the Tashi-lhumpo abbots, and the hands with repeated insignia forming a circular halo, seated, her 1o0bes covering a multitude of human beings and animals ; above are Dhyani Buddhas, and below Dharmapala‘; in colours on silk, with silk veil 341 A SKU-T’AN, with figure of sgRon_-MA G’AN-K’U, the Green Tara, seated, above her the first Dalai Lama ].0-ZAN GyYA-TS’0 and surrounding her a number of Bodhisattvas ; in colours and gold, on silk, with silk veil 342 A Sku-1’AN, with figure of the Tutelary »DOoRJE-’JIGS-BYED (Skt. Yamantaka), a form of Siva as the destroyer of the king of the dead, black and fearful, surrounded by flames with five heads and many arms holding weapons and other insignia, Standing and trampling on human beings and animals; in colours, on paper, with silk veil 343 A SKU-T’AN, with an unidentified figure of gold colour, six- armed, seated with legs round the shoulders of a blue four- armed figure with legs round the shoulders of a garuda, standing on the back of a lion; at the top is an eleven- headed Avalokita, and at the base a Buddha teaching a group of priests, while surrounding are various scenes in the life of one or more of the Thibetan Saints; in colours and gold, on silk, with silk veil; on the back the blood stained hand seal of a Lama; on the bottom a dedicatory inscription in Newari characters, and date 542, Nepalese era 344 A Sku-T’AN, with a figure of sGro_-dKAR-grso-hKHOk-gSUM- PA, a white ‘l'ara eight armed standing between a white Marici, and a dark blue Ekajati, surrounded by other figures of deities and saints being adored by mortals, in colours and gold on. silk, with silk veil, on the back the blood stained hand seal of a Lama 345 <A SkuU-TAN, with central figure of Mui-bsKyod-pa (Skt.
