    About the editors GARY S. STEIN is Professor and Associate Chairman in the Depart¬ ment of Biochemistry and Molec¬ ular Biology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he be¬ gan his teaching career in 1972. He is the coeditor of Recombinant DNA Approaches to Studying Con¬ trol of Cell Proliferation, Methods in Cell Biology, Volumes 16-19 (Chromatin and Chromosomal Protein Research) and The Role of Nonhistone Chromosomal Pro¬ teins in the Regulation of Gene Ex¬ pression. He received his PhD in cell biology from the University of Vermont. JANET L. STEIN is Associate Pro¬ fessor of Immunology and Medi¬ cal Microbiology at the University of Rohda. She is the coeditor of Recombinant DNA Approaches to Studying Control of Cell Prolifera¬ tion and Methods in Cell Biology, Volumes 16-19 (Chromatin and Chromosomal Protein Research). Dr. Stein received her PhD in chemistry from Princeton University. WILLIAM F. MARZLUFF is Associ¬ ate Professor of Chemistry at Flor¬ ida State University. Previously, he was a National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University for three years. He received his PhD in biochemis¬ try from Duke University.
