![The above regulations, etc., are administered in an active and efficient manner. A new Draft (’ode of Ifye-laws with respect to Ne’^' Streets and Buildings is in course of prejiaratlon, and will be submitted to the iMinister of Health for approval at an early date. Sanitary Circumstances of the Area. Water. The water supiily is derived from the service mains of the Manchester C'orporation, and there is a constant supply of water of excellent quality. Only one house is not supplie<l with water direct from the mains, such house deriving its water supjily from a spring. Drainage and Sewerage. The drainage of the district is on the combined system, and the sewers are so constructed that the whole of the sewage finds its way to the yewage Disjvosal M orks by gravitation. With the exception of 21 houses, the whole of the dwelling-houses, mills, and workshops in the district are connected with the main drainage system. There is practically no iiollution of streams taking place. The Sewage Outfall Works are situated at Sunny Bank at a distance of some' 15(10 yards from a few isolated dwelling- houses. The Sewage Disposal Works were remodelled hr 1010, and consist of an Inlet ('hamber, 2 Catchpits, 4 large PreGi])itation d'auks, 2 Bacterial kilters with fixed spray nozzles, and Humus Tanks were added in the year 1020.
