That this Charity be called the “Manchester Ear 1 lospiTAL FOR Diseases of the Ear, Nose and Throat/ and the government thereof be vested in the hands of a President, Vice- President, a Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, and General Committee. 2. d'hat the objects of the Hospital be :— First : To provide accommodation and medical treatment for necessitous persons suffering from diseases of the ear and associated diseases of the nose and other organs as in-patients and out-patients. Second : To afford practitioners and students of medicine ample opportunities for studying such diseases scientifi¬ cally under one roof, and to promote by all available means a more general knowledge of the same. 3. Each contributor of the sum of five guineas at any one time and each person subscribing a guinea annually who shall have paid his subscription for the previous year, shall be at liberty to \ote at the annual meeting; but no new subscribers shall be entitled to vote whose subscription shall not have been paid at least three months previously. 4. The Annual Meeting shall be holden on some day after December, to be determined bv the General Committee; but the General Committee shall have the power of calling a Special General Meeting upon giving at least six days’ notice by advertisement in two or more Manchester papers; and the Secretary shall at any time, on the written requisition of not less than five subscribers, summon a Special General Meeting for the purpose to be stated in such requisition, by giving the like notice, and at these meetings eight shall be a quorum. 5. At the Annual General Meeting a President, Vice- President, a Treasurer, and an Honorary Secretary shall be elected, and a General Committee appointed, consisting of the above-named officers, the medical officers, and ten or more subscribers. 6.
