No text description is available for this image![by sub-classification shows that 6,93,610 deaths occurred from malaria, 83,799 fiom other fevers, 9,366 from enteric fever, 4,371 from measles, 520 from influenza, 227 from relapsing fever, 184 from kala azar, 158 from cerebro-spinal fever, 21 from typhus fever and 7 from black water fever. These figures are, however, not reliable, as reporting is done by illiterate chaukidars. 16. The districts of Garhwal, Pilibhit and Jhansi held the first three Fevers in districts places in order, the death-rates being 25 12, *24*26 inclusive of towns. and 24*22, respectively. The lowest death-rates (Statement IX.) were returned from Allahabad (9*40), Ballia (9*70) and Fatehpur <10*38). 17. In 1987, fevers accounted for 60,250 deaths against 62,252 Fevers in urban deaths in 1936. The death-rates for the two years areas were 11*10 and 11'44, respectively. (Statement VI *B). The highest death-rates were noticed in Amaupur (district Etah) (64 49), Gursarai (district Jhansi) (44*59), Madhogarh (d strict Jalauo) (40 55) and Math (district Jhansi) (44*46) while the lowest death-rates were reported from the Lansdowue Cantonment (district Garhwal) (*68), Naini Tal (1*11), Kundarkh (district Moradabad) (1*44) and Mussooree (district Dehra Dun) (1*45). 18. Fevers contributed 7,32,013 deaths in the rural areas in 1937 as compared with 7 89,595 in 1936.
