![Thus only 62.5% of these cases were notified to this department three months or more before death. Although this is a slight improve- ment on the three preceding years, which showed percentages of 58.7, 48.2, and 48.1 respectively, the general position with regard to notification must be looked upon as very unsatisfactory. Attendances of patients at the clinic. r {a) During the year 1,145 patients made 1,529 attendances at thej clinic for the purposes of medical examination. Of these, 473 had noti been examined before at the clinic. 672 patients (who made 1,019 attendances) were cases who had^ previously been examined and were re-examined one or more times during the year for observation, treatment, or after-care purposes. (h) In addition to attendances made for the purpose of medical examination, 739 other attendances were made by patients for weighing, interview, advice, or certification, and by patients’ relations in connection with questions arising as to treatment, removal, home conditions, &c. Examination of patients who were notified for the first time during i 1925.—Of the 294 new patients notified in 1924, 105 were examined at 1 the clinic during the year.
