    Mixture and Embrocation for Rheumatism, &c. LETTERS PATENT to Ebenezer Oliver, of King William Street, in the City of London, for the Invention of “ Improved Medicinal Mixtures for the Cure of Rheumatism, Tic-doloreux, Lumbago, Cramp, Sciatica, AND SUCH LIKE COMPLAINTS.” Sealed the 20th December 1859, and dated the 21st June 1859. (Void by reason of the Patentee having neglected to Me a Specification in pursuance of the conditions of the Letters Patent.) PROVISIONAL SPECIFICATION left by the said Ebenezer Oliver at the Office of the Commissioners of Patents, with his Petition, on the 21st June 1859. I, Ebenezer Oliver, of King William Street, in the City of London, 5 do hereby declare the nature of the said Invention for “ Improved Medicinal Mixtures for the Cure of Rheumatism, Tic-doloreux, Lumbago, Cramp, Sciatica, and such like Complaints,” to be as follows:— This Invention relates, first, to an embrocation composed by mixing together from 4 to 8 parts of each of the following ingredients, namely, 10 oil of juniper, spirits of wine, spirits of nitre, spirits of turpentine, laudanum, Castle soap, oil of vitriol. Secondly, I form drops to be taken inwardly, by mixing together from 4 to 8 parts of oil of juniper, spirits of wine, spirits of nitre, spirits of turpentine, Soccatrine aloes, and oiLcf lavender. The above ingredients are to be subjected to gintle heat during the mixing together or 15 incorporating thereof.
