Umbelliferce or Apiacecp), is stimulant, carminative, and tonic. The seeds and roots are the parts principally used; the latter etain their pungency longer. Dose of the powdered root, 10 to> 20 grains; Aqua Angelica', an ounce; Extractum, 5 to 15 grains ; Irfusum, by spoonfuls; Tinctura, a drachm ; Spiritus
