![INFECTIOUS DISEASES. The ninnber of cases notified during the year 1018 was 182, viz.; diphtlieria 80—decrease 56; scarlet fever 08—in- erease 15; enteric fever 16—increase 12; erysipelas 14—de- crease 7; total decrease, 80. Measles complicated with croup, 1 imported from Ash. Zymotic Death-rate. — The number of deaths notified fi'om the 7 zymotic diseases was 14—decrease 1, viz.; 1 from diphtheria, 2 from measles, 1 from erysi])elas, 1 from enteric fever, 8 from diarrhoea and enteritis. The zymotic death- rate is 0.57 ])er 1,000. THE SANATORIUM. During the year 1018 115 cases were admitted into the Sanatorium, viz. : scarlet fever 68, diphtheria 88, enteric fever 10, (ierman measles 1, and 1 case of tonsilitis. There was 1 death from diphtheria and 1 from enteric fever in the Sanatorium. ENTERIC FEVER. 'There were 16 cases notified, with 1 death. Out of thes(', 6 eases occurred in Now lluttington Lane (5 in one family) and the other 4 were connected with these cases. On making eiupiiries, we found these peo])le were away cur- rant :ind ])ea picking just previous. One in Artillei’y Street, 1 in JIos])itai, Longport; 1 in Martyrs’ h'ield lioad, 2 in Military Hoad, and 1 in St. Heter’s Place connected with tlu> outbreak in New Huttington Lane.
