Water Supplies were maintained throughout the year to the '>•> Parishes in tlie Rural District, the sources of sui^ply being Kilham and Hutton Pumping Stations, Water mains were laid to serve fai’ms on the North-eastern boundary of the Rural District thus meeting a long outstanding need for piped sui)plie.s in that locality. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food have allocated a grant towards the cost incurred. This 'Scheme (as finall\- adoi)ted) is the first stage of a joint scheme iwepared in conjunction with the 1-jigineer to the Bridlington Corporation and will ultimateh' he further extended into the Bridlington Rural District to augment the Corporation's existing supidies in the locality. 8 water main extension was laid at Natferton to serve a new private development comi)rising Id bungalows in Brickyard Lane. .Vrrangements were made with the Hull Corporation for a water supi)ly to he afforded from the Cori>oration’s new Hempholme source to Standingholme Farm in the Parish of Watton. Water from Hutton Pumping Station continued to be chlorinated with Voxan sjjecial 'I'ype C solution and water from Kilham Pumping Station was treated with Chlorine gas supi)lied by T.C.I. TO new connections were made to the Council’s mains during the year, giving ‘28 new metered su])i)lies and supi)lies for .51 domestic puriMises.
