    small wormholes, but a VERY FINE FRESH COPY in a contem- porary binding of olive morocco, the sides gilt tooled with triangles and squares intersecting, in the centre, a medallion containing a coat-of-arms (first and fourih three ? thisiles, two and one; second and third an esquire’s helmet); this medallion is within a wreath of foliage and flowers from which spring graceful sprays ending in arabesques ; a most beautiful gilt tooled panelled back, gilt edges, £85. A characteristic and charming specimen of the book- binding art in France in the early years of the sixteenth century. The arms do not appear in Guigard’s Armorial du bibliophile.
