    The State of the Society’s Funds on the 1st of February, as reported by the Auditors on the 7th of the same month, was as follows : Balance in the hands of the Treasurer, February 1st, 1826 Sums received since, in Subscriptions and Compositions... Sums paid since, including £.200 transferred to the ] Building Fund ) Remaining in the hands of the Treasurer £. 289 1 756 12 948 15 96 18 d. 7 0 7 o Amount of Subscriptions and Donations to the Building Fund, £.2,427 15s. In reference to what was stated in the last year’s Annual Report, respecting the Building Fund, the Council hope that the further liberality of the Members will enable them to secure a permanent Residence for the Society, as soon as the projected improvements in the neighbourhood of Charing Cross, or Pall Mall, shall be in such a state of progress as to afford them the opportunity of obtaining an eligible site. The King’s Annual Bounty of 1,100 Guineas has been received for the present year, and appropriated as commanded by His Majesty, [funds.] [building FUND.] [royal ENDOWMENT.]
