    ¥ HE whole block of the large Exhibition Buildings will be requisitioned for this great Bazaar, which for artistic treatment will eclipse any other bazaar ever held in York. The Large Hall will be fitted with Scenic Model Houses, representing the Ancient and Historic City of York, the buildings of which have been designed and made from authentic engravings, drawings, and some closely copied from the existing originals still remaining in the City of York ; the old Monk Bar, Micklegate Bar, Old George Inn, Palace of the Stuart Kings, Castle Gateway and Buildings, the Priory Gate, Layerthorpe Postern, Walmgate Bar and House, Ogleforth, Old Stonegate Houses, Ousegate Houses, the Merchants’ Hall, St. William’s College, the Towers of York Minster, etc. On the platform there will be a representation of the Treasurer’s House, with its. massive stone-built gables, mullioned and small-paned windows, panelled doors, etc. The interior will be fitted to represent the Entrance Hall, with the rare and beautiful tapestry, quaint and massive furniture, etc., all kindly lent by Frank Green, Esq. At the other end of the Hall, and towering above the streets of houses, etc., will be seen the stately Towers of York Minster. The whole scene is in mid-winter, the snow and frost sparkling at every view. The Smaller Hall will be fitted as an Old English Faire with smaller scenes, and will be used as a Coffee Tavern and for Entertainments. Old York in Mid-Winter will be one of the most novel and picturesque scenes ever yet prepared for the purpose of bazaar decorations, and has been specially -made and painted by the celebrated Bazaar Artist, G.
