Early in 1917 the War Office ordered the concentration of malaria cases in England at a number of special centres, partly that they might receive treatment by specially qualified medical officers, and partly in order to enable a comparison to be made between various lines of treat- ment which had been previously commended in medical lterature, and partly for other investigations on malaria which might be possible. ‘The work was dated by order to commence on the 15th Iebruary, 1917, or subsequently, and was carried out first in Aldershot and Liverpool and then in London, Oxford, Epsom, Manchester, Lincoln, Edinburgh, Dublin, and in subsidiary Hospitals; but some delay occurred as regards some of these centres.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b33429868_0001_0003.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
