AHIRAVITS, I, MARTIN SHERLOCK, residing, No. 6, Maidenhea4-Court, Moor-Larte, near (^ripyilegtile, London, do solemnly declare upon oath, that the following is a true statement of the extraordinary eflVicts of the im‘dicine railed iMc-Klepharttis, or Medicated Milk of Elephants, viz. 1 had several years ago been afllicted with a stricture of the ure- thra, whidi ]iioduc>.d no alarming consequences, until at a moment of imprudence 1 caught the venereal disease. I then placed myself under th'e Care'of medical gentfehiayt of eipinence in the city, who con- firmed to treat me for live waeks, while bojli complaints became daily worse; In this situation I was compelled to leave off all business; 1 became feveyish, ropld not rest in bed, or oiit of it; could not mako water ; could not be^r to sit on anything, whether hard or soft, so great was the pain an^ swelling of the parts, atlepded with a throbbiirg and .universal perturbation of ihy whole frame, as if a total stoppage of the passage, and a joiortificatipn of the bladder had taken place.-- Anxious to live, though but little hope was left me, in this wretched situation 1 walked out with gretit difficulty, and having seen a pam- phlet on ihe ^ac- Elephant is, 1 applied for a bottle at Messfs. Camp- bell & Co's, Surgeons, No. 29, Great Marlborough-Street: this the ^th* (if Octobef. 1 took the medicine till the 27ih, wKen I ^aiu cajfed for^soine more : on the erejimg of this day the stricture gave ,way, and the water pasifc'd in greijl qCiautity, the pains cntiifly ceas^l, and cvepy sympt^vu of stricture rauished. There was o6 boogie or olber instrument used. T|i'e venereaT symptoms, which, had run to so ahnrmliig a height, be^an to disappear ; jbe running and scalding stopt; and the sores hejiled ; so that in„^lwo or,three diiyj more, I was perfertly restored tb Hiy foriner state of health, by the uivjnc, blessing of providence on tldi lVTcdi- cated Milk of Elephants, after extreme debility had reduced me so that I despaired of iny life, while my medical attendants could not af- lord me the shadow of relief j and every other medicine aggravated my -misery.
