    years learnt all that was to be acquired in those countries, he returned to his native land of Germany, where, on the basis of the knowledge he had thus gained, he founded the Fraternity R.C., whom he instructed in the mystical books M. and T. Then, when he realized that his work in its present stage was accomplished, he of his own free will laid aside the physical body, not, it is recorded, by decay, or disease, or ordinary death, but by the express direction of the Spirit of Life, summing up all his knowledge in the words, Jesus mihi omnia.” A true realization of our own spiritual nature and a careful comparison of its principles with the teach- ing of the Bible will show us that all the highest knowledge is summed up in the knowledge of Christ. Salvation through Christ is neither the catch-word of a sect nor the arbitrary fiat of an unknown God, but is the Divine Love and Wisdom bringing us into the recognition of our true relation to the Father of our spirits. It is the supreme action of the All-creating Intelligence adapting itself to the requirements of our nature. Jesus the Christ is at once the Foundation and the Chief Corner-stone, or apex, of that building of God in Man which is symbolized by the Great Pyramid— the foundation, the eternal and immutable principles of Being, and the apex, or crown of the whole work I
