![Distribution in Wards.—Out of a total of 141 deaths ccurring in the first epidemic, only one was recorded )r Albert Park Ward ; on the other hand there were 9 deaths from this disease in Hope Ward and 16 in rescent Ward. CommiCATiONS.—The chief complications occurring in le 141 fatal cases in the first epidemic were : — Pneumonia in 63 per cent. Bronchitis in 10 per cent. Gastro Enteritis in 3 per cent. Meningitis in 0-7 per cent. SECOND EPIDEMIC. The second epidemic proved to be more prolonged lid attained a greater severity than the earlier one. he death curve rises steeply from the end of October, btaining a maximum of 88 deaths during the week ending 3rd of November ; thence the curve falls regularly and ither stcepty until the week ending December 28th, he]i onlv four Influenza deaths were recorded. Thus, the second epidemic may be said to spread self over a period of 10 weeks, the maximum intensity sing attained during the hfth week. Ace Incidence.—The age group 25-35 years was the ost affected. Ninety-six deaths occurring in this group. ext comes the 15-25 years age group with 72 deaths, hilst 52 deaths occurred in the age group 35-45 years, id 45 deaths in group 45-55 years.
