About this work
Description
Account of travels in Germany, Austria and Italy from Oct. 1777 to Sept. 1778. Author's holograph MS: the beginning and end are wanting. There is an inscription on a slip pasted on to the first leaf: 'My Uncle's notes in his travels, medical chiefly, especially upon mineral waters, but miscellaneous'. Another slip pasted below this (by the bookseller?) states that this MS. 'is in the autograph of the famous Dr. Lawrence'. There appear to be considerable gaps in the text, which mainly deals with medical subjects.
