[6] the Matters Hand, and a Note taken from his Hand that receives them, for the Re-delivery. againft any Cafualty by Fire, either in Charterhoufe or the PrecinCts thereof. What other Orders foever the Governours in Affembly {hall make for the Good of the Hofpital, and fign them with their own Hands in the Affembly Book, fhall ftand in full Force and Power during the Pleafure of the Governours. The Orders and Conttitutions of every Affembly fhall be engroffed in the Affembly Book by the Regifter, and iigned by the Governours prefent, at or before the next Affembly. All which Orders and Conttitutions the Matter, Preacher, Regifter, and other Officers, Members and Servants of the Houfe whom it may concern, fhall obferve and obey, as they will anfwer the Contrary at their Peril. « The Maft er. THE Master fhall have the Oeconomical Government of the Houfe and Houfhold during the Governours Pleafure, and Power to put upon any Officer a MulCt not exceeding the Value of a Week or Fortnight’s Commons, which fhall be continued, unlefs the Governours at the next Affembly fhall fee Caufe, and give Order to the contrary : And alfo to fine any poor Brother a Week or Fort¬ night’s Commons, upon any Mifdemeanor, in his Difcretion, de- ferving the fame : Any further Penalty lie fhall not infliCl (except only in fuch Cafes, as there are efpecial Orders directing him) but upon Continuance of the Tranfgreflion, and Incorrigibility, he fhall inform the Governours at the next Affembly, that the Offender may be by them more feverely and condignly chaftifed by way of Mulct, Expul lion, or otherwife, as to their Wifdom {hall feem be ft, and moftjuft for his Correction, and the Terror of others. All the inferior Servants of the Houfhold fhall be put in or out at the Difcretion of the Matter, but he fhall have this Power in Sub¬ ordination to the Governours, and his Actions fhall be alterable by their Cenfure and Revocation, upon juft Caufe of Complaint.
