Ricord has thoroughly revised his part of the work, bringing it up to the knowledge of the present day, and so materially increasing it that it now constitutes full one-third of the volume. *¢ This publication has been received with great favor by the French, both because it has placed ' within their reach an, important work of Hunter, and also because it. is the only recent practical work which M.
