    Ill CONDITIONS FOUND AT MEDICAL INSPECTIONS From Table III, it will be noted that the incidence of most defects is still generally highest in school entrants as opposed to those found at the final and intermediate inspections. The classification of satisfactory and unsatisfactory which is standard - is a bad one, to record a child found with a number of minor defects as Unsatisfactory is unlikely to present itself as correct to a School Medical Officer and children, therefore, are labelled as Satisfactory who have dental, visual, physiological or temporary defects - these nevertheless may be rendering the child into a physically subnormal category. It will be seen from the Tables I (A) and I (B) that although only 3 children were considered to be unsatisfactory, yet 897 special inspections or re-inspections had to be carried out on school children. Although many of these were for problems of school progress or behaviour, these must be considered as aspects of Total Health, and the children concerned could hardly be considered to be 100% satisfactory.
