Registered Premises and Infectious Diseases. 6 cases of Notifiable Infectious Diseases occurred on registered premises during^ the year; namely:—Scarlet Fever, 1 ; Para Typhoid Fever, 1; Pneumonia, 3; and Puerperal Pyrexia, 1. 4 of the 6 cases were removed to Hospital. The following is a summary of the inspections and visits made by the Sanitary Inspectors and the Health \bsitors during 1941 :—To Registered Premises (other than Food Premises), 571 ; Re Meat, Food, etc., 4,398; Infectious Diseases, 6,932; Birth Enquiries, etc., 22,664; Private Houses, etc., 13,944; making a grand total of 48,509.
