In Progressive Medicine each department is considered in its entirety, the article being prepared by an expert prominent in his specialty. The contributions are purely original, narrative in method and consecutive in treatment. They interweave the record of real advance with the practical experience of the author in hospital work and in private practice, it being ever borne in mind that the ultimate aim of all medical knowledge is the successful treatment of the patient. This novel method of dealing with current medical advance has now proved its value by two years of success, and by the very favorable expressions of opinion on the part of those who have used it most.
