![Annual Subscription Endowment Fund. The late Miss Byles, of Whitecliff Glen, Seaton, Devon, who had been an Annual Subscriber for a great many years, bequeathed the sum of £50 to one of her executors to be expended for the benefit of the Hospita] The executor had been greatly struck by the fact that although new annual subscriptions to the amount of £453 js. 6d. had been obtained during the five years 1908-12 inclusive, the actual increase had only resulted in £279 105. 6d., owing to the very heavy loss the Hospital had sustained, mainly through the death of old friends. He therefore gave the £50 to the Hospital on the following terms :—. 1. That the said amount of £50 be invested in the name of the Hospital, and that the income of the same be applied for the general purposes of the Hospital. 2. That such income be considered as perpetuating Miss Byles’ Annual Subscription of £2, which she had con¬ tributed for a great many years, “ In Memory of Mrs. Gooch” (a sister of Miss Byles), and that it be printed in all the reports as such. 3. That steps be taken to bring this Annual Subscription Endowment Fund to the notice of other Subscribers, in the hope that they may feel inclined to add to the Trust. The Committee sincerely hope that the Scheme may be adopted generally by the Subscribers to the Hospital. A draft form for Subscribers’ use is given over. The following Annual Subscriptions have been £ endowed : s. d. Miss Byles (In Memory of Mrs. Gooch) ... 2 0 0 Mrs. Sarah Leitch... 4 4 0 Marcus Van Raalte, Esq. 4 4 0 Miss Elsa Haas 5 5 0 Miss D.
