    clasps, both of which are now missing. This volume is referred to as “ Paper-copy Register B”’ so far as it con- tains copies of the entries from 1559 to 1745, but on the 27th April 1746 a note in the margin states, “ Here is begun this new Register,”? and it consequently becomes Register B. The edges of this Register have been carefully repaired, and the whole rebound in its original cover. It measures 154 inches in length by 10 in width. It contains entries of— Baptisms, 12 January 1745—6 December 1767. [There are entries from 1768—1779 which appear in Register C. | Marriages, 24 August 1748—13 January 1754. Burials, 27 April 1746—18 January 1772. [There is one entry recorded for 1779, but it appears in Register C.] Register C is a paper volume with parchment cover, fitted with two engraved clasps. On the front is a leather label, stamped in gold letters, “ Register | Addington | Surrey | 1773.” The Baptisms in the front are written on ruled paper, the Marriages in the centre are written on printed forms (with Banns on ruled paper), and the Burials at the end are written on ruled paper. It contains entries of— Baptisms, 21 August 1768—20 December 1872. Banns, 1774—1843. Marriages, 22 August 1773-7 December 1812. Burials, 2 February 1773-31 December 1812.
