    fTy Yet, notwithftanding the Extenfivenefs of a 1 ax upon fuch Monumental Impojitions, I will count only upon 20 thoufand, at five Pounds per Annum each, which will amount to one hundred thoufand Pounds annually. To thefe Annuities, I would alfo requeft the Parliamejit of this Nation, to allow the Be¬ nefit of two Lotteries yearly j by which the Hofpital would gain two hundred thoufand Pounds clear. Nor can fuch a Requeft feem any way extraordinary, fince it would be ap¬ propriated to the Benefit of Fools and Knaves, which is the foie Caufe of granting one for this prefent Year. In the laft Place, I would add the Eftate of Richard Norton Efquire; and to do his Me¬ mory all poflible Honour, I would have his Statue eredted in the very firjl Apartment of the Hofpital, or in any other which might feem more apt. And, on his Monument, I would permit a long Infcription, compofed by his deareft Friends, which fhould remain Fax-free for ever.
