    Is federal meat inspection the only assurance we have of wholesomeness ? No, since July 1, 1966, all beef slaughtered for resale in lowa must be processed under the Iowa meat inspection regulations. Beef proc- essed under these regulations will be stamped with a purple stamp in the shape of the state of Iowa. Whoops! I’ve got to buy my steak—intelligent- ly now—and run, Jim.
