The absence of tuberculosis in cattle and calves will no doubt be noted, and if some cheap and prac- tical means could be found to get rid of the liver fluke the total weight of offal condemned would no doubt drop again considerably. The number of animals killed during the year is down slightly due to the temporary closure of largest slaughter]!ouse whilst alterations were carried on to make the premises comply with the Slaughterhouse (Hygiene) Regu- lations, 1958. Noise Abatement Act, 1960. This Act which came into force at the end of 1960 con- ferred new powers on Local Authorities to deal with noise and vibration. No complaints have been made to me and I have made no visits under the Act.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b29252234_0024.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
