![There were recorded 189 deaths from accident or negligence—including 70 from fractures and contusions, 42 from burns or scalds, 52 from drowning, and 4 from poison—16 cases of homicide and 11 of suicide were registered during the year. The table shows, by diseases and quarterly periods, the deaths registered in the Dublin Registration District in 1873 ; the deaths from each disease registered in 1864-72 respectively; and the number of deaths from each disease to every 100 deaths from all causes in 1873 :— Name of Diseases.
